never knew they still had flogging in the prisons till I read an article couple days ago. Last person flogged in the prison was in 2004, Human Rights Group (forgot them name) trying to get it off the books.

As for transferring to another school. Did you read the article and see the expense involved?
The Principal says she wants to migrate. Please do. Not many school districts in the USA allow flogging.
I think all of Texas does, USA South, Africa, some places in the Caribbean, China and rest of Asia maybe?
But lets say she finds some other locale to play out her madam fetish, is it right to brutalize a human being simply because you can?

Bearing in mind that I grew up in the extremely liberal Philadelphia Public School System of the 1960s... when not only was corporal punishment illegal... but even public humiliation - such as the use of a dunce cap or making a child stand or sit in a corner - not permitted... and the only permissible punishments were detention after school and/or being sent to the principal's office and/or - in the most extreme cases - perhaps suspension for a certain number of days, or worst case - expulsion from that school...
I believe in corporal punishment for discipline. However, corporal punishment does not work for education. (ie - it does not make a child learn, or entice a child to try harder to learn; a child learns at whatever level s/he l=is able to learn at... it's an ability factor - plain, pure, and simple)
In this school, if they're shooting for 100% (itself an unattainable goal, btw), then the teachers need to be "inspired" along with the students, same way. The teachers' methodology of educating is at least 50% (prolly more than) of that equation. The pupils' abilities to learn is only half (at best) of that equation.
So the principal needs to start beating the teachers, right alongside the students, when/if the students fall short of the goal. Sauce for the goose is, indeed, sauce for the gander.
And I also agree that the parents would get together and sue this school system AND this school in particular AND this principal by name AND the individual teacher(s) involved by name. That's the proper way to do such a lawsuit. Even in the Jamaican Court of Law.

You mean to tell me there are no other private schools in the area?If you don't fight for what you deserve, you deserve what you get.
